I wanted to inform you that I will no longer be dealing with new releases of trains
as of March, 2010. I will fulfill all orders already placed with me or placed before
the end of 2009. I will not be taking any new orders.
In the meantime, I will be selling off the remainder of my Marklin inventory until
it is gone. My complete inventory is posted on my website under the
"Ongoing Specials" link (see above right). There are some great pricing on locos,
rolling stock, sets, track, spare parts and accessories in 1, HO and Z.
This is a very hard decision for me. I have been selling Marklin for almost 20 years.
There are several reasons for this. Change is inevitable. The current business
climate, low profit margins, competition from German dealers, the unfair US
pricing structure and the recent distribution move to Walthers have all contributed
to my decision.
I will continue in business under the name Ted’s Toy Store selling only high-quality
specialty toys and games. There will be development of a new website featuring
specialty toys and games, tedstoystore.com.
